Domestic violence is the saddest part of our country where the increasing numbers of domestic violence are staggering day by day. In 2022, in California State, the women’s domestic violence percentage has reached 34.90% whereas men’s victims of domestic violence are counted at 31.10%. So how we can put end to domestic violence? The answer is simple by providing mass domestic violence awareness!

Below, we rounded up our best ways to stop domestic violence for you. Have a look!

Early Signs of Domestic Violence

How to stop domestic violence? The CDC recommends learning to recognize the signs of abuse, speaking up if you suspect someone else is being abused and joining an organization that promotes awareness about domestic violence so you can educate others in your community on how to stop domestic violence.

While many victims of domestic violence suffer in silence, others have learned to identify red flags that suggest abuse may be occurring.

Controlling relationship — Whether it’s physical, emotional or psychological, an abusive partner will commonly use fear and manipulation to restrict a victim’s freedoms.

Lack of self-esteem- A person who feels worthless or inferior may remain in a potentially dangerous relationship to feel accepted by their abuser.

Other signs of domestic violence include severe jealousy, name-calling and excessive possessiveness. If you believe you are experiencing any form of abuse from your partner, please contact a local domestic violence hotline for assistance. We have linked with state police officers, therapists, and legal attorneys to help the survivors in the best possible ways.

What we can do for the victims of domestic violence?

Unsilenced Voices founder Michelle Jewsbury has started domestic violence awareness program to change the lives of the victims. Our goal is to bring together police officers, attorneys, case managers, therapists, housing assistants and job assistance in one centralized place for survivors to gather the information they need for recovery and integration back into society.

Awareness of domestic violence, and the steps one can take to stop it, are key to helping victims in time and preventing further abuse from happening. Statistics on domestic violence vary from country to country, but on average, one in three women worldwide has experienced physical or sexual violence at some point in her life. In the United States alone, roughly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner, which adds up to more than 10 million abuse victims annually. Women aged between 18 and 24 are at the greatest risk of experiencing domestic violence.
